Grab Yourself (Some Happiness)
(Melody Mann)
2006-02-23
K. Williams-Mann
This song is somewhat autobiographical, but then I think most women can relate to it. We all have things in our past that we don't let go of. And those things can affect us in many ways and often keep us from finding happiness or living our dream. I wrote this song as a personal reminder to myself that life is too short to be weighed down by the past. -Kelly

Be seen, not heard, you don't really need to say a word
But boy you sure look good in that sweater
There's no time for you to rest cause you've always got to be your best
But soon you know you're gonna feel much better
(Chorus)
Grab yourself some happiness now
Don't carry the weight of the world
Stop punishing the woman
For the sins of the little girl
It's okay to pretend that you don't even need a friend
And you're gonna make it thru until tomorrow
Just smile and be strong cause it never takes you very long
To learn how to deal with you sorrow
(Chorus)
Doo doo doo dow, doo doo doo dow, doo doo doo dow, doo doo doo doo doo doo
You've got to get out, reach out and grab yourself some happiness
You've got to speak for you and do for you and grab yourself some happiness
Don't let the past and your memories stand in the way of your dreams
You've got to open your heart and spread your wings yeah, yeah, yeah
